Tanning Bed

CAUTION:  Tanning beds use bulbs that contain the toxic metal mercury.  Before disposal, a tanning bed’s bulbs and ballast must be removed and managed separately.  “Batteries Plus Bulbs” specializes in recycling bulbs and lighting ballasts, including those from tanning beds, and has locations in York County.  Click here for more information.

REUSE:  Tanning beds in good useable condition may be able to be resold at garage sales, consignment stores, and on internet sale platforms.

TRASH:  After bulb removal, tanning beds must be disposed at Modern Landfill.  For more information click here.
