Tree and Shrub Trimmings
RECYCLE:
- Tree and shrub trimmings are accepted in some municipal leaf and yard waste curbside or drop-off recycling programs. To find out if your municipality has a leaf and yard waste recycling program and what materials are accepted, contact them directly.
- Tree and shrub trimmings can be delivered to local mulch processing businesses Eshbach Mulch (click here), H&H General Excavating (click here), and Spring Valley Mulch (click here). Contact them directly with questions regarding hours and any applicable fees.
- Tree and shrub trimmings that are no more than 6 feet long and 24 inches in diameter are also accepted at the York County Resource Recovery Center’s (YCRRC) Yard Waste Facility, subject to the YCRRC tipping fee, and transported to a mulch processing facility. Click here for information on the YCRRC rates and hours.
TRASH: Tree and shrub trimmings that are no more than 6 feet long and 24 inches in diameter may also be placed in the trash. Your hauler may have additional instructions regarding large item pick up. Contact them directly for more information. Tree and shrub trimmings that exceed 6 feet long or 6 inches in diameter must be disposed at Modern Landfill. For more information, click here.
